Experience

“Wisdom is the right use of knowledge. To know is not to be wise. Many men know a great deal, and are all the greater fools for it. There is no fool so great a fool as a knowing fool. But to know how to use knowledge is to have wisdom.”
-Charles H. Spurgeon

The Bible shows us time and time again that having a knowledge about God and the truth is not enough.  We must experience it.  James 1:22 tells us that to only hear the Word without doing what it says is to deceive ourselves.  Jesus himself said in Luke 11:27-28 that there is a bigger blessing that comes with hearing God’s word and doing what it says than to be the mother of God’s own son.  John 7:17 shows us that a willingness to do what God says has a direct connection with being able to understand in the first place.

So knowledge and understanding cannot be the end of the trail for one who believes in the Bible, rather it is a beginning.  The true power as a follower of Christ does not come with mere intellect, but with a life that has been transformed and molded into the form of God’s will.

That’s why Truth Link doesn’t stop with information.  We emphasize how we can experience God’s truth because that’s where the rubber meets the road.  Let’s strive toward that goal as we learn together.
